Sashiko Design Workshop: Learn the meanings behind many of the Japanese geometric designs that are this art form. Traditionally used to repair worn places or tears with patches, this stitching technique is often used for purely decorative purposes in quilting and embroidery. Workshop will present transfer techniques to blank fabric – finished project could be a coaster or parch. Some sewing experience helpful. Workshop fee - $2.00 for materials.
